Diamond Way followed Lama Ole Nydahl faithfully until his passing. News reached me via Facebook on the morning of the 19th February, 2026.
I attended the Exeter Sangha as a member for two years, made friends, had an amazing time, and then when the time came, quietly moved on, as is my way. But I don't forget friends (easily or willingly). So I can confidently state that: I have some Buddhist Friends, without fear of self contradiction; I have Buddhist friends too, again without self contradiction fear. I am Christian, but thanks to the Exeter Sangha I can confidently state that: in the two years I spent there I saw essentially no evil there, just nice people with a nice tradition that looks a little odd through the eyes of a conservative Christian. Alas, I am Christian. The other adjectives I attach to my Christianity are on a depends on the circumstances basis.
It was a life changing moment to have met him. I recognised him as an honest leader; he did not recognise me. We put our heads together for the blessing, and he said Calculator. I replied Computer. That is why it was time for the local friendly Computer to move on to other things.
The how did I get here story is interesting.
