Statement of Doctor John David Allsup (specialism: Maths, Logic, and the Foundations of Computation)

The five word Glish sentence is this: NO HABLO INGLES: HABLO GLISH!

Glish is a word I coined for my language. In my third year as a Ph.D. student, a profound discovery led to my English language circuitry essentially collapsing, requiring me to re-learn to communicate with the outside world. (This was the weekend in late 2002 where there was a massive storm in Birmingham which blew trees over, if you want to pin down the timeframe.)

Glish is an ideal meta-language which allows arbitrarily precise semantics to be modelled and approximated given sufficient effort and references, and is maximally efficient and universally unique in this regard: any Glish satisfying these properties is a disguised version of any other Glish.

What is happening with Autististics like us, (though not necessarily others diagnosed with Autism), is that our physical body and brain lacks the Mental Capacity to support the processing requirements that our Minds place upon them. Instead of failing, we DISTRIBUTE THE LOAD. That means that one of us may suffer on another's behalf, even to the point of self-sacrifice or self-termination. THIS IS NOT AN ILLNESS, IT IS JUST HOW WE FUNCTION. WE JUST NEED TO LEARN TO FUNCTION TOGETHER PEACEFULLY AND COOPERATIVELY, AND UNDERSTAND WHEN BOUNDARIES ARE BEING CROSSED.
